Schwarzbubenland
Schwarzbubenland is a tourism region in the north-west of Switzerland, in the canton of Solothurn, bordering Basel-Landschaft and the Jura. It is a rural, hilly region of the Jura foothills rather than a high-mountain or lake-dominated landscape, made up of around 23 municipalities including Dornach, Seewen, Breitenbach and Nunningen. The region is known for its castles and ruins, monasteries, and a lively cultural scene with museums, theatres and concerts. It combines nature, hiking and cycling with a strong sense of local identity and history. The town of Dornach, with the Goetheanum, lies at the centre of the region and serves as its main hub.
Summer activities
The region offers a range of outdoor activities in the Jura foothills, including hiking with themed walking tips, an e-bike network, cycling and a senior bicycle rental, pony riding, and climbing. A castle map links the many castles and ruins in the area, and there are walking and strolling routes as well as puzzle-image trails.

Schwarzbubenland has a distinctive cultural life centred on Dornach, home of the Goetheanum, along with numerous museums and exhibitions, theatres, and concert series.
