Heading south from the industrial Ergolztal valley, this route then turns east, where the Basel skyline comes into view. A densely populated area bustling with activity awaits you after passing along the river Birs to Aesch. It then grows more secluded in the Leymental valley, with its flat, tranquil landscapes.
