The route is closed for winter 2023/24. No need to look too far away – the Gurten has plenty to delight tobogganing fans. The descent down Bern’s local mountain is particularly appealing when the city disappears under a blanket of fog. Make sure you enjoy the view of the Eiger, Mönch, and Jungfrau from the observation tower before you start.

The wide downhill slope of natural snow, at the foot of Lucerne’s local mountain, makes for a thrilling sled ride. With a variety of snow sports equipment, snow lovers can build up a head of steam. The Horneggli Run goes from the Horneggli mountain station through fir forests to Schönried. At the beginning, the run is quite curvy and therefore not suited for beginners. It gives you a nice view towards the Rüeblihorn and Saanenland.
