Zoo alpin des Marécottes
Located in Les Marécottes in the Swiss canton of Valais, the Zoo alpin des Marécottes is the highest zoo in Europe, set in a larch forest at 1110 metres above sea level. It offers an immersion into the wild fauna of the Valais Alps, with over 150 animals including lynx, bears, marmots, foxes and deer living in a natural 35,000 m² park. Visitors can observe these animals in their natural habitat and enjoy a picnic area on site. The park also hosts changing temporary exhibitions and events.
