Winkelriedhaus
The Winkelriedhaus in Stans, Switzerland, is the main building of the Nidwaldner Museum, a cantonal museum documenting the art and cultural history of the canton of Nidwalden. Housed in an old patrician house, it presents the permanent exhibition 'Selbst und Welt. Werke aus der Sammlung' (Self and World. Works from the Collection), which spans works from the 17th to the 21st century. The collection includes paintings, sculptures and applied art objects, including works from the Frey-Näpflin collection. The museum also hosts changing temporary exhibitions, often featuring artists connected to Nidwalden.
Families and Kids
Families with children are welcome at the museum. In the Winkelriedhaus and the Salzmagazin there are 'Kinderspuren' (children's trails) for young visitors. Children and young people under 16 years enter free of charge.
