Village Museum in the Thatched-Roof House Kölliken
The Village Museum in the Thatched-Roof House in Kölliken (Switzerland) is housed in an Aargau thatched-roof house from 1802, the so-called "Sauzmehus". It shows the way of life of a wealthy farming family in the 19th and early 20th centuries, offers insight into old craft techniques and conveys themes from Kölliken's village history. The permanent exhibition covers rural living and working around 1900, agricultural and forestry equipment, crafts, prehistoric, Roman and medieval finds as well as industrial culture. The museum also presents changing special exhibitions.
Families and Kids
The museum offers museum-pedagogical offers for school classes. The tour leads over two floors with stairs and high door thresholds, which can be challenging for small children.
