Talmuseum Engelberg

The Talmuseum Engelberg is located in the historic Wappenhaus in the village centre of Engelberg, Switzerland. The farmhouse built in 1786/87 has housed the museum since 1988 and offers insights into everyday life at the end of the 18th century. The permanent exhibition covers the valley, local and monastery history as well as the relationship between the valley and the Benedictine monastery founded in 1120. A permanent exhibition is also dedicated to the Engelberg Olympians and Engelberg's development into a spa and winter sports resort. The museum also shows changing special exhibitions.

Children up to 6 years have free admission, children aged 6 to 16 pay a reduced admission. School classes of all ages are warmly welcome at the museum. The museum offers insights into historical everyday life and valley history.
