Schulmuseum Thurgau

The Schulmuseum Thurgau in Amriswil (Switzerland) is housed in a school building built in 1846 in rammed-earth (pisé) construction and documents around 200 years of Thurgau elementary school history. The permanent exhibition includes an authentically furnished historic classroom from the 1920s as well as a collection of around 40,000 objects on the development of the Swiss school system. The museum offers museum-educational programmes for school classes, guided tours and workshops as well as changing exhibitions. A biodiverse outdoor area with a learning garden and barbecue area completes the offer.
