Sauriermuseum Frick

The Sauriermuseum Frick in Frick, Switzerland, is the only museum in Switzerland to display a complete skeleton of the dinosaur Plateosaurus, recovered from a clay pit near Frick. Alongside many fossils, a film about the discovery history of the Frick dinosaurs can be seen. The exhibition covers Plateosaurus, predatory dinosaurs, marine fossils such as ammonites, belemnites and ichthyosaurs, as well as turtles. The museum also hosts changing temporary exhibitions and offers a fossil hammering site (Klopfplatz) for self-guided fossil hunting.

Families and Kids

The Sauriermuseum is especially suitable for families and school classes. Children can search for fossils themselves at the fossil hammering site (Klopfplatz) and take their finds home. Dinosaur birthday parties for children aged 6 and up as well as age-appropriate guided tours for school classes are offered.
