Saurer Museum

The Saurer Museum in Arbon on the Swiss Lake Constance shows commercial vehicles, engines as well as embroidery and weaving machines of all generations that were manufactured in Arbon. Around 20 historic vehicles of all categories are on display – from the oldest Saurer truck ever, via the Caminhao of 1911, to vehicles of the D generation – along with a comprehensive engine exhibition. In the textile machinery section, embroidery machines of the three pioneer generations and weaving machines of various types are presented. The museum is run by the Oldtimer Club Saurer and comprises, in addition to the museum by the lake, the Saurer Museum DEPOT in WerkZwei.

Families and Kids

Children and young people under 16 have free admission when accompanied by adults. The museum shows historic vehicles, engines as well as embroidery and weaving machines, which are also put into operation during guided tours. According to the website, the textile machines in operation and the large embroidery exhibition particularly delight the ladies.
