Salzmagazin

The Salzmagazin in Stans, Switzerland, is the history museum of the Nidwaldner Museum, located centrally at the valley station of the Stanserhorn railway. Its permanent exhibition "Mutig, trotzig, selbstbestimmt. Nidwaldens Weg in die Moderne" presents the special history of the canton of Nidwalden over the last 750 years in seven 'Nidwaldner Geschichten'. The museum also hosts changing temporary exhibitions on Nidwalden themes each year. It is one of three houses of the Nidwaldner Museum, alongside the Winkelriedhaus and the Festung Fürigen.
