Ortsmuseum Weierbachhus

The Ortsmuseum Weierbachhus in Eglisau, Switzerland, is housed in a historic winegrower's house dating from 1670. Across three floors, exhibits document the history of the Rhine town, the Landvogtei of Eglisau, shipping, fishing, the salt trade, household life and local crafts. A focus is placed on the once-important salmon fishing as well as weidling boat building and salt transport on the Rhine. The museum also has a library with around 700 books, 600 documents and over 6,000 newspaper articles relating to Eglisau, and regularly presents changing special exhibitions.
