Naturama Aargau
The Naturama Aargau is a natural history museum in Aarau, Switzerland, that presents the natural history of the canton of Aargau. Visitors encounter dinosaurs and mammoths, explore Aargau habitats, and observe living animals such as beavers, mice, frogs and fish. The permanent exhibition spans three floors and includes interactive films, games and listening stations, as well as a specimen of the extinct great auk. The museum also hosts changing temporary exhibitions on environmental and climate topics.
Families and Kids
The Naturama is very family-friendly: children can touch prepared animals, observe 15 living animal species, and explore the Naturlabor with 18 themed drawers. There are free museum booklets for different ages, an augmented reality game for children aged 8 and up, and birthday programmes for children aged 5 to 10.
