The Natur- und Tierpark Goldau is a family-friendly nature and wildlife park in Goldau, Switzerland, in the heart of Central Switzerland. Around 100 native and European wild animal species live here, including bears, wolves, lynx, wisent and bearded vultures. The park is embedded in a unique landslide landscape and also operates a wildlife care station for orphaned, sick and injured wild animals. It is a scientifically managed zoo that participates in international conservation breeding and reintroduction programmes.

FAQ

  • Can I bring my dog to the park?
    No, dogs are not allowed in the Natur- und Tierpark Goldau, as sika deer, mouflons and water birds roam freely in some park areas. There are no exceptions and no dog boxes available.
  • Can I feed the animals in the park?
    Feeding is only allowed in the free-roaming zone, where sika deer and mouflons may be fed exclusively with the park's special feed, available for CHF 5 per box. Feeding animals in the enclosures is prohibited, as foreign food can make them ill.
  • Are there guided feeding sessions or other programmes?
    Yes, there are daily commented feedings, for example of the bearded vulture, wild boar, bear and otter, as well as additional feedings on weekends and public holidays. Daily schedules are posted on the information boards at the park entrance.
  • Is the park accessible for wheelchair users?
    Some paths in the park are only partially suitable for wheelchair users and may require an accompanying person, as the paths are gravel. An electric scooter is available for visitors with mobility impairments and must be reserved in advance.
  • From what age can children visit the park alone?
    Children under twelve years of age may only visit the Natur- und Tierpark Goldau accompanied by an adult for safety reasons. Parents are liable for their children.
