Museum Vaz/Obervaz

The Museum Vaz/Obervaz in Zorten (Vaz/Obervaz, Switzerland) is housed in a former Capuchin hospice and parsonage and extends over three floors in the hospice, the Galeria Parpan and the Pfrundstall with the old grain mill from Zorten. The permanent exhibition documents life and work in past times, the emergence of tourism in the municipality of Vaz/Obervaz, sport in former days as well as regional customs and traditions. Historic workshops such as a forge, a wheelwright's shop and a weaving room have been set up. The museum also houses the collection of the artist Ferdinand Parpan and changing special exhibitions.

Families and Kids

The museum explicitly welcomes families. Children can search for the lost thimble, craft a medieval money pouch and try out historical objects in the 'hands-on museum' room. On the first Wednesday of every month admission is free for grandparents and their grandchildren (up to 16 years).
