Museum Rosengart Collection

The Rosengart Collection in Lucerne, Switzerland, is an art museum housed in a former Swiss National Bank building on Pilatusstrasse. It presents over 300 works of Impressionism and Classical Modernism, with a major focus on Pablo Picasso and Paul Klee. The collection also includes works by 23 other artists such as Matisse, Chagall, Monet, Cézanne and Kandinsky. The museum offers guided tours, concerts and changing temporary exhibitions.

Families and Kids

The museum offers special 'Children guiding Children' tours where trained child guides aged 7 to 11 lead young visitors on a journey into the world of art, available in German only. Family tours are also offered for visitors big and small. Note that pushchairs are not allowed in the museum.

  • Are pushchairs (strollers) allowed in the museum?
    No, pushchairs are not allowed in the museum. The museum is, however, accessible to wheelchair users and people with impaired mobility.
  • Is photography allowed inside the museum?
    Photography and filming for private purposes using smartphones and digital compact cameras is permitted. Flash photography, tripods and selfie sticks are not allowed, and professional shoots must be registered and approved in advance.
  • Which admission passes are accepted at the museum?
    The Swiss Museums Pass and the Raiffeisen Card are accepted. The Lucerne Museum Pass is also available for digital purchase through Lucerne Tourism.
  • Are guided tours available in languages other than German?
    Public tours are conducted in German only, but private guided tours can be booked in German, French, Italian, English, Spanish or Dutch, either during or outside opening hours.
