Museum Lindwurm

Museum Lindwurm in Stein am Rhein (Switzerland) is a living museum offering insight into the life and work of an upper-middle-class family of the Biedermeier period (c. 1815–1848). Across four floors and around 1500 m² it presents bourgeois living and agricultural work in the 19th century. The historic building from the Middle Ages (1279) includes a family area, salon, playroom and a rear house with stables, barn and workshop. The museum also offers a digital collection and regularly hosts changing events and guided tours.

Museum Lindwurm fascinates children and adults alike. In the playroom, young and old guests can dress up in historical costumes, discover historic games and try out straw mattresses. The Lindwurm Junior series also offers its own event series for a young audience.
