Mammoth Museum

The Mammoth Museum in Niederweningen provides insight into the spectacular Ice Age finds of Switzerland's richest mammoth discovery site. A time path leads visitors from settlement in historical times to the flora and fauna of the Ice Age and further back to the creatures of the tropical Jurassic Sea. Ice ages and climate change of the past 500,000 years are shown with impressive images.

Families and Kids

The Mammoth Museum offers interactive image stations, a mammoth quiz and touchable display materials. Special worksheets are available for school classes. Stone Age workshops with fire making, archery and crafting animal figures take place regularly.
