KrippenWelt
The KrippenWelt in Stein am Rhein (Switzerland) is the first nativity scene museum in Switzerland and shows up to 600 nativity scenes from over 80 countries each year. The exhibition in the oldest, still original preserved house in the town from 1302 presents the religious, cultural and socio-political world behind the individual nativity scenes. In addition to the museum, the KrippenWelt houses a bistro, a museum shop with nativity scenes and fair-trade products, as well as a vaulted art cellar with changing special exhibitions. The collection today comprises more than 1500 nativity scenes.
Families and Kids
The museum is suitable for families and children from about 7 years of age, with a reduced admission for children. The bistro with its home-style cuisine and the inner courtyard offer a pleasant stop for families.
