Kastelen Castle
The Kastelen castle ruins in Alberswil in the canton of Lucerne are a medieval castle complex with a mighty residential tower from the 13th century. Visitors can climb the accessible observation tower and enjoy a magnificent panoramic view over the Alps, the Jura and the Swiss Plateau. The complex also includes the deepest well of its kind in Switzerland as well as a modern shelter with toilets. The ruins are maintained by the Kastelen Castle Ruins Association and are accessible via the signposted Chastelenweg path.
