Historical Museum Arbon Castle

The Historical Museum Arbon Castle in Arbon (Switzerland) is the largest local and regional history museum in the canton of Thurgau. Its modern permanent exhibition takes visitors on a journey through 5,500 years of settlement history on Lake Constance, from the Neolithic period through the Early Bronze Age, Roman era and Middle Ages to the modern era and industrial history. Original finds, documents, scale models, pictures and photos provide insight into the lives of the pile dwellers, the Romans, the medieval town and the industrial age. The mighty castle tower with its dungeon, weapons hall and tower room offers a panoramic view over Lake Constance. The museum also hosts changing special exhibitions.
