Bruno Weber Park

The Bruno Weber Park in Dietikon, Switzerland, is a walkable total work of art by Swiss artist Bruno Weber (1931–2011). Over roughly 15,000 m², the sculpture park combines monumental figures, architecture and nature into a fairytale dream world. Visitors discover sculptures made of concrete, stone and glass-fibre composite, walkable works such as the Winged Dog, and buildings including the Water Garden Hall and the Dining Hall in the artist's house. The park is run by the Bruno-Weber-Gesamtkunstwerk foundation and the support association and hosts changing temporary exhibitions.

Families and Kids

The Bruno Weber Park offers families a playful sculpture hunt, at the end of which children receive a small surprise at the ticket office. Children under 4 years have free admission. Climbing on sculptures is prohibited, except for the Winged Dog and the Cat; the ponds are not secured and must be supervised.

  • Am I allowed to picnic or barbecue in the Bruno Weber Park?
    No, picnicking and barbecuing are not allowed in the park as it is an open-air museum. However, there are public barbecue spots nearby, such as the Sandbühl playground (about 8–9 minutes on foot) and the Franzosenweiher (about 17–18 minutes on foot).
  • Are dogs allowed in the Bruno Weber Park?
    Yes, dogs are welcome but must be kept on a lead. Dog waste must be disposed of (no bag dispensers are available); water bowls are provided.
  • Can I reach the park directly by car?
    People with mobility impairments may drive up to the park; 2 parking spaces are available at the Vogeltor (advance notice of at least two days recommended). All other visitors park free at the Stadthalle Dietikon and walk about 10–15 minutes uphill to the park.
  • Is there an audio guide in the park?
    Yes, a multilingual audio guide (German, English, French, Italian, Spanish) is included in the admission and is played on your own smartphone (internet connection required). A special free audio guide is available for visually impaired visitors.
  • Which areas of the artist's house can I visit?
    The Dining Hall and the Water Garden Hall are accessible during a self-guided visit. Other interior rooms of the artist's house (e.g. the studio, kitchen, Seasons Room, bedroom) can only be visited as part of a booked guided tour; the tower is not accessible for safety reasons.
