Skilift Schilt
The Schilt and Fronalpstock area in Mollis in the Glarnerland is a small, family-friendly and ecological ski area without snowmaking facilities. It offers varied, well-groomed pistes, powder snow for freeriding and options for ski touring. A ski lift takes visitors to over 1,600 m above sea level in about ten minutes, and a ski bus connects the area with Näfels-Mollis railway station.
Families and Kids
The Schilt ski area describes itself as family-friendly, and the routes suit the whole family. Children up to one day before their 6th birthday ski free, and discounted family and children's rates are available.
Food and drinks
Directly on the piste are the Naturfreundehaus Fronalp, a mountain inn with a view, and the Verpflegungsstation Wettertannä by the valley station of the ski lift at 1,209 m above sea level. Both inns serve guests right on the slopes.
