4 Vallées – Verbier/La Tzoumaz/Nendaz/Veysonnaz/Thyon

4 Vallées – Verbier/La Tzoumaz/Nendaz/Veysonnaz/Thyon
The Verbier 4 Vallées ski area in Switzerland is the largest ski area located entirely within Switzerland, extending from Verbier via La Tzoumaz and Bruson to Nendaz, Veysonnaz and Thyon. It ranges from 1,500 to 3,330 m in altitude and offers groomed pistes of all grades, marked freeride itineraries, a snowpark, funslopes and competition stadiums. In summer the area becomes a destination for mountain bikers and hikers.

Families and Kids

La Tzoumaz is described as very popular with families, with a Funslope for children learning freestyle and one of the longest toboggan runs in French-speaking Switzerland from Savoleyres to La Tzoumaz. In Bruson, Meïno's playground offers tunnels and slides, and the mascot Meïno also appears in the fun zones at La Tzoumaz and La Chaux.

Food and drinks

The area has numerous restaurants, including mountain restaurants such as Le Mayentzet, the Médran Café, La Croix-de-Coeur, the Restaurant de la Pasay in Bruson and the Igloo du Mont-Fort. The Mont-Fort igloo is noted for serving Europe's highest fondue, and the Cabane du Mont-Fort and Chez Dany in Clambin are recommended stops for local specialities.

FAQ

  • Which ski pass areas are available and do the passes cover neighbouring resorts?
The ski passes cover four separate areas: Bruson, La Tzoumaz/Savoleyres, Verbier and the 4 Vallées. For skiing only in Nendaz/Veysonnaz and Thyon (Printse sector), passes must be bought on their respective websites.
  • Are there ski schools and lessons for all levels?
Yes, Verbier is home to several ski schools, such as the Verbier Ski and Snowboard School, which offer skiing and snowboarding lessons for all levels from beginners to experts.
  • How can I check which slopes and lifts are open on the day?
The slopes are set to "in preparation" every evening, and which ones open is decided each morning based on weather, safety and required work. Live status is available on the opening hours page, on the Infosnow Verbier website and in the Skiif app.
  • Is there a discount for buying passes in advance or for groups?
A 10% discount is granted on passes ordered at least 10 days before the first day of skiing. Groups of at least 15 people buying passes for the same length of time receive 15%, which cannot be combined with other offers.
  • What insurance options are available with a ski pass?
When buying a ski pass you can add insurance (Snowassist in winter, Summer Assist in summer), which covers refunds of passes, lessons and hired equipment as well as rescue costs. Without insurance, no refund is possible.
