At Chamoson, steep limestone rock faces tower over the scree, among which grapevines are planted, almost burning in the sun. Vétroz is the home of the rare Amigne grape variety. Sion is flanked by enchanting vine terraces with ancient irrigation channels known as “Suonen”.
