Sledging fun for big and small: the rapid ride through the Jura winter landscape from the Wasserfallen cableway mountain station to Reigoldswil takes around half an hour. It leads through the forest, over meadows and even through a tunnel full of icicles.

The route is closed for winter 2023/24. No need to look too far away – the Gurten has plenty to delight tobogganing fans. The descent down Bern’s local mountain is particularly appealing when the city disappears under a blanket of fog. A fun experience which is fortunately not over too quickly: the sledge run from Melchsee-Frutt to Stöckalp is eight kilometres in length – the longest in Central Switzerland. On the old mule tracks from back then this run gehts over an altitude difference of almost 1000 metres.
