Tschuggen is a popular view point to enjoy the magnificent panorama on the mountains around Arosa. Whoever wants to delocate from the mountain to the valley, had better do it on two runners – past the legendary Tschuggenhut and the heritage-protected Bergkirchli.

The sledging trail from Arosa to Litzirüti meanders through the thick fir forest. It follows the river Plessur and the rails of the Rhaetian Railway. It offers over and over again nice views to Mt. Schiesshorn, Mt. Tierfluh and further mountains of the region.

A few minutes to go up the mountain on the cable car to then go directly downhill at a racing speed: the ride from Chur’s home mountain, the Brambrüesch, to Känzeli leads through the forests and the Alps with a fantastic view of Schanfigg-Arosa.

One of Switzerland’s longest sledding runs starts in Cuolm Sura below Piz Mundaun, which overlooks the entire Surselva district. The run is approximately 9 km long and meanders mostly through the forest via Flond down to the charming town of Ilanz.

The sledding path is roughly 3 km long and leads from the mountain station of the Waldstafel chairlift via Furgglis down to peaceful Tschiertschen. Fast downhill runs and exhilarating turns offer lots of fun for the whole family – either with a toboggan or with the ever popular Gögel, a contraption made in Tschiertschen.

The toboggan run starts in the Ausserberg district of Tenna, right next to the world’s first solar ski lift. Thanks to the easy terrain, the descent is ideal for a family outing. It runs gently over the wide slopes and past Walser houses. At the end, the postbus takes sledgers back to the village.
