This leg is the highlight of the route, setting off from Preda via the Albula Pass to the southern tunnel portal. The mountain hiking trail passes by the crystal-clear Lai da Palpuogna lake, climbing up to Alp Weissenstein (known as Crap Alv in Romansh) and onward to Fuorcla Crap Alv. This is followed by a steep descent into the Val Bever valley until you reach the idyllic Spinas, your destination for this leg.

The last section of the Senda Segantini is physically demanding. Some of it follows a narrow path along the steep slope. The views of the 3000-m peaks around St. Moritz are spectacular. At 2730 m you reach the Segantini Hut where the famous painter died.

A gentle ascent leads along the river through the idyllic Val Roseg, where massive boulders lie among flowers and conifers. The trail then climbs steeply over pastures with views of the surrounding peaks and the glaciers of Sella and Roseg. At Fuorcla Surlej, you cross a gravel landscape.

Going along the Julier Pass road, and across fragrant pastures to Alp Suvretta, St. Moritz soon comes into view. The next destination is Corviglia, the local mountain of the glamorous alpine metropolis. The final ascent ends at the deep blue natural reservoir of Lej Alv.
