Visp - Zermatt - Scenic & side valleys

Starting out from Visp, the first few kilometres of the route are fairly gentle and let you get warmed up before the real ascent, which starts shortly before you reach the village of Stalden. You then turn off to the right in the direction of Zermatt, leaving the valley leading to Saas-Fee on your left. The kilometres that follow take you through the villages of the Mattertal: Stock, Bifig, Breitmatten and Täsch. The peace and quiet of the last few kilometres between Täsch and Zermatt give you the chance to admire the exceptional natural environment around you. The ultimate reward for your efforts?
