Zwingli House

The Zwingli House in Wildhaus (Switzerland) is the birthplace of the reformer Huldrych Zwingli (1484–1531). Built in the mid-15th century by the reformer's grandfather, the house is located in the Lisighus district and features remarkable interior details such as the late Gothic carved beam ceiling, the open fireplace in the kitchen and an original offering box from the Grossmünster in Zurich. It also includes a plant garden illustrating Zwingli's garden culture and food base around 1500. The house today belongs to the Evangelical Reformed Church of the Canton of St. Gallen and is open to guests from all over the world.
