Zug Castle

Zug Castle (Burg Zug) in the town of Zug, Switzerland, is the oldest surviving secular building in Zug and houses the Historical Museum of Zug. The medieval castle, whose origins date back to the 12th century, presents Zug's cultural history from the Middle Ages to the modern era across three floors, including furnished workshops, a chemist's shop and thematic rooms on governance, religion and residential culture. The museum also hosts changing temporary exhibitions, such as one on the Middle Ages in central Switzerland.
