FAQ

  • Are dogs allowed in the zoo?
    The zoo has a dedicated FAQ page about whether dogs may be brought into the zoo and about dog boxes.
  • Can I take photos and film inside the zoo?
    Photography and filming are permitted for private purposes only, from the visitor paths, without artificial light sources or drones. Commercial use is prohibited.
  • When does the penguin walk take place?
    The king and gentoo penguins walk from November to February, usually daily, starting around 11:00, provided the temperature does not exceed 10°C.
  • Are there fixed feeding times for the animals?
    Fixed feeding times exist only for pelicans at 15:00, sea lions at 15:30 (daily, with keeper information), and the vivarium between about 14:00 and 16:00 on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Saturdays.
  • Can children help out in the children's zoo?
    Children aged 8 and over can actively help in the farm petting enclosure daily, without registration, in the morning from 08:05 and/or in the afternoon from 13:30. The activity takes place in German.
