Wildenburg Ruins
The Wildenburg ruins lie about 300 m east of the village centre of Wildhaus in Switzerland at 1118 m above sea level. The castle was built at the beginning of the 13th century by the Barons of Sax and secured the crossing from the Rhine Valley into Toggenburg. After restoration in 2011–2013, the site with its tower, viewing platform, castle square with benches and fireplace is open to the public. In the castle rock there is also a military installation from the Second World War.
