Werdenberg Castle
Werdenberg Castle in Werdenberg (Canton St. Gallen, Switzerland) is an approximately 800-year-old complex, originally built as a high-medieval castle, which evolved through the eras of the counts, the Glarus bailiffs and the bourgeois Hilty family into today's cultural castle. The castle houses a museum with a permanent exhibition, audio plays and audiovisual stagings on the history of the region. In the attic there is a relief model of the Canton of St. Gallen, and in the knights' hall stands the great knights' table. The castle also offers changing special exhibitions and a varied programme of events.
