Voliere Zürich

The Voliere Zürich, located in the Arboretum park directly on Lake Zurich in Zurich, Switzerland, is a bird sanctuary and competence centre for native and exotic birds. Since 1898 it has operated Switzerland's most frequented emergency station for injured, sick or fallen wild birds, alongside a bird boarding house and free public advisory services. Visitors can view around 100 exotic birds of 33 species in eight indoor and three outdoor enclosures, some of which are part of international conservation breeding programmes. The facility is financed exclusively through donations and memberships.
