Vapeur Val-de-Travers
The Vapeur Val-de-Travers is a living museum located in the depots of Saint-Sulpice in the canton of Neuchâtel, Switzerland, dedicated to the preservation and restoration of historic steam locomotives and period carriages. Visitors can explore the collection of steam and diesel locomotives and vintage coaches before boarding a steam train for scenic rides along the banks and gorges of the Areuse or on the belvedere line of Les Verrières. The association, founded in the 1980s, preserves a rich fleet of historic rolling stock. The site also hosts changing temporary events and themed train rides.
Families and Kids
Children aged 6 and up can enjoy the depot visit, which is recommended from age 6, and family-friendly steam train rides along the Areuse. Children under 6 travel free on the 'Au fil de l'Areuse' train.
