Valley and Legend Museum Lauterbrunnen

The Valley and Legend Museum (Tal- und Sagenmuseum) in Lauterbrunnen, Switzerland, is housed in the historic 'D'Mili' mill building, one of the oldest houses in the village. In eleven exhibition rooms it presents around 700 historical objects illustrating the history and culture of the Lauterbrunnen valley, from agriculture and tourism to local crafts. A special focus is the world of legends, myths and fairy tales of the valley, based on the collection of local historian Hans Michel. The museum also hosts changing temporary exhibitions and offers guided tours, storytelling evenings and themed hikes.
