Torculum (Vinicultural Museum)
The Torculum wine museum in Chur, Switzerland, is housed in the Neubruchtorkel built in 1582 and presents the work and events inside and outside the wine press. It contains the largest wine press in eastern Switzerland with a 14.5-metre-long cross beam from 1609. Since 1984 it has functioned as a museum testifying to Chur's 2000-year-old wine-growing culture. A documentary film "From Vine to Wine" explains the vintner's year, and the museum also serves as a venue for social events.
