Tierpark Lange Erlen
The Tierpark Lange Erlen in Basel, Switzerland, is a free animal park founded in 1871, located in the Landschaftspark Wiese recreation area. It is home to around seventy animal species and over eight hundred animals, focusing mainly on native Swiss mammals and birds, including lynx, wolf, wildcat, bison, chamois, deer and various waterfowl. The park also features an Erlebnishof farmyard with domestic animals and a Bauerngarten, and hosts changing temporary exhibitions.
