Thun Panorama

The Thun Panorama is a museum in Thun, Switzerland, housing the oldest surviving circular painting (cyclorama) in the world. Created by Marquard Wocher in 1814, the 38-metre panoramic painting depicts the town of Thun and the Bernese Alps, offering a detailed view of daily life 200 years ago. The museum also features changing contemporary art exhibitions in its glass annex.

Families and Kids

The Thun Panorama offers themed tours and workshops suitable for children aged 7 and up. Children and young people up to 16 years old enjoy free admission. The circular painting is described as a 'Wimmelbild' (picture puzzle) for young and old, and there are special family-friendly events like knitting gatherings and peep box workshops.
