Termali Salini Locarno in Locarno, Switzerland, is Ticino's largest natural saltwater bath, located directly on the Lido on the shores of Lake Maggiore. The natural saltwater bathing landscape extends over two levels with brine pools, grottos, cascades, massage jets, whirlpools and a 39 °C hot bath. It also includes a textile-free sauna world with a candle bio-sauna, Finnish infusion sauna and herbal steam bath, as well as an outdoor pool with views of the lake and mountains. Massages, treatments, day spa packages and private spa suites complete the offering.

FAQ

  • Are there age restrictions for children?
    Children under 4 years old are not admitted. Children aged 4 to 15 may only visit the bath accompanied by an adult. From age 16 the bathing area is accessible without accompaniment; the sauna is accessible from 16 only with accompaniment and from 18 without.
  • Do I need to wear swimwear?
    Yes, swimwear is mandatory throughout the bath. The sauna and herbal steam bath are textile-free and mixed. In all other areas conventional swimwear such as swimsuits, bikinis, tankinis, burkinis, swim trunks or swim shorts is required.
  • Can I book massages and treatments without admission?
    No, massages and treatments can only be booked with admission to Termali Salini Locarno. Early reservation is recommended for day spa packages, massages and treatments.
  • Is there a dress code for the sauna?
    The sauna and herbal steam bath are textile-free and mixed. In all other areas of the bath, swimwear is mandatory. For hygiene reasons, wearing underwear under swimwear is not permitted.
  • Can I rent swimwear and towels?
    Yes, on site you can rent a bath towel (CHF 5), sauna towel (CHF 7), bathrobe (CHF 9) and swimwear (CHF 9 plus deposit).
