Tellenburg
The Tellenburg is a castle ruin in Frutigen in the Bernese Oberland, Switzerland. The castle, first documented in the 13th century, was expanded into a château in the 15th century and destroyed by fire in 1885. Today the ruin is a popular excursion destination with a barbecue area, festival square and public toilet facilities, managed by the municipality of Frutigen and the Burgfreunde Tellenburg association. Comprehensive masonry restoration has been underway since 2024.
