Tamina Therme

The Tamina Therme in Bad Ragaz, Switzerland, is one of the best-known wellness oases in the country, using the warm 36.5°C thermal water from the Tamina Gorge since 1872. It offers a thermal water world with eight pools on 7,300 m², a sauna world with seven saunas inspired by Finnish wellness traditions, and a wide range of wellness and beauty treatments. The facility also includes the Café Therme, a bistro lounge and boutiques, and hosts changing events and specials.

Families and Kids

Children from the age of 3 are welcome at the Tamina Therme, and from age 10 they may enter without an adult. The Tamina Kids courses introduce babies and toddlers to the water in the pleasantly warm 32°C thermal water. Children under 12 are not admitted to the sauna area.

Opening hours

The thermal bath is open Monday to Thursday from 8:00 to 22:00, Friday from 8:00 to 23:00, and weekends/holidays from 8:00 to 22:00. The sauna world has separate opening hours.

  • Is the sauna area textile-free?
    Yes, in accordance with the customs of the culture, the sauna world is textile-free and may not be entered in swimwear. However, it is possible to rent a bathrobe and wear it during your stay. There is also a bio-textile sauna in the thermal water world where sweating is possible without being naked.
  • Is it possible to use only the sauna world without the thermal bath?
    Yes, it is also possible to use only the sauna world of the Tamina Therme. Please mention at the cash desk that you only wish to use the sauna.
  • How do I pay for my consumption in the wet area during my stay?
    The stay in the bathing and sauna area is cashless. Consumption is booked onto your wristband and you pay for everything when you leave the spa together with the admission price at the cash desk.
  • Can I cancel a booked treatment?
    Yes, you can cancel your treatment free of charge up to 24 hours before the treatment appointment. If you cancel later or do not show up, the full amount of the booked treatment will be charged.
