Swiss sewing machine museum with quaint objects
The Swiss sewing machine museum is located in Fribourg, Switzerland, in a beautiful 18th-century patrician house. It houses more than 250 historic sewing machines and more than 3,000 unusual objects from around the world, displayed in 12th-century vaulted cellars. The private collection is open only by appointment or on request, with guided tours offered in French, German and English. Visitors can also see early washing machines, including an American model from 1865.
