Swiss Horse Museum
The Swiss Horse Museum (Musée Suisse du Cheval) in La Sarraz, Switzerland, is the only museum in the country dedicated to the horse in all its facets, blending history, leisure, culture and heritage. Housed in the former barn of the Château de La Sarraz, it presents a permanent exhibition covering the horse's evolution, its life, its role in agriculture, the army, transport, sports and the arts, as well as the trades around it such as farriery. The museum also hosts changing temporary exhibitions and creative workshops for children and adults.
Families and Kids
The museum offers creative and playful workshops that let children and adults learn while having fun, as well as drawing workshops on varied themes. Children under 6 enter free when accompanied by family, and there is a family package for 2 adults and 1-3 children.
