Stadtmuseum Rapperswil-Jona
The Stadtmuseum Rapperswil-Jona in Rapperswil (Switzerland) presents the eventful history of the town from the Middle Ages to the present day on around 900 m². The permanent exhibition combines the historic rooms of the Brenyhaus and the tower with the modern 'Janus' extension and shows a collection of around 5,000 historical objects with a focus on cultural and economic history. Film and audio stations as well as interactive elements invite adults and children to take part. The museum also hosts changing temporary exhibitions.
Families and Kids
The Stadtmuseum offers families several playful discovery activities: an animal discovery tour through the historic rooms, the detective and puzzle game 'Adventure in the Museum' and a family offer on Roman Kempraten with costumes and colouring books. Children up to 16 years have free admission, museum plan and animal cards are free.
