Sikypark

The Sikypark in Crémines (BE), Switzerland, is a Swiss animal rescue park that gives a new home to around 1,250 rescued animals from 79 species. It houses big cats such as tigers and lions in a retirement residence, a parrot rescue station with a walk-in aviary, and the Station Mami for injured native wildlife. Visitors can also see fallow deer, lynx, wolves, birds of prey, and a petting ranch, as well as explore the Forscherpfad nature trail. The park hosts changing temporary exhibitions and events.

FAQ

  • Are dogs allowed in the Sikypark?
No. The Sikypark is an animal welfare centre where animals live freely on the grounds, and many rescued animals have had bad experiences with dogs. Bringing dogs is generally not permitted, with no exceptions, and no dog boxes are available.
  • Is the Sikypark suitable for wheelchairs and pushchairs?
Yes, most of the grounds are easily accessible with a wheelchair and a pushchair.
  • Is the restaurant open daily?
Yes, the Sikypark Restaurant is open daily during the park's opening hours, all year round.
  • Can I publish photos of the animals on my website or social media?
Yes, for private use you may publish and share your photos, ideally tagging the Sikypark. Commercial use, however, is not permitted without prior written agreement with the Sikypark, especially the sale or licensing of animal photos to media and image agencies.
  • How do I reach the Sikypark by public transport?
The park is best reached by train. The BLS line Solothurn–Moutier stops on request at the Crémines-Zoo stop, from where it is only a few metres on foot to the park entrance.
