Seilbahn Museum Switzerland

The Seilbahn Museum Switzerland in Kandersteg in the Bernese Oberland (Switzerland) tells the history, development, construction and operation of Swiss cable cars. On 430 m² of indoor space and around 500 m² of outdoor area, funiculars, aerial tramways, gondola and chairlifts, ski lifts as well as military and industrial cable cars are presented in a multimedia way using original components, models, documents, photos and films. The museum invites visitors to touch, try out and experience the technology and is continuously developed, with special exhibitions on cable-car-specific topics planned.
