Rötteln Castle Ruins
The Rötteln castle ruins near Lörrach-Haagen in Baden-Württemberg are among the largest and most impressive castle ruins in southern Baden. The medieval spur castle from the 11th century impresses with two climbable defensive towers, a double ring wall, keep and palas. A small castle museum displays finds from excavations as well as changing special exhibitions. The site also offers gastronomy, a beer garden and a castle garden.

The castle offers special children's and school class tours, as well as a medieval-themed children's birthday concept for children aged 7 to about 11, including a knight's ceremony and treasure hunt. A castle garden combines biology, mathematics and history for school classes.
