Parco San Grato

Parco San Grato is a botanical park in Carona, near Lugano, Switzerland, covering 200,000 square metres and hosting the largest collection of azaleas, rhododendrons and conifers in the Insubria region. Located at 690 metres above sea level between San Salvatore and Monte Arbòstora, it offers panoramic views over Lake Lugano and the Alpine peaks. The park is crossed by over 5.5 km of thematic trails, including botanical, relaxation, scenic, artistic, fairy-tale and sensory paths, and features a playground. It is open all year round and hosts changing temporary exhibitions and events.

Families and Kids

The park features a playground in the centre with swings, a slide, a seesaw, a little house and an adventurous cable car, easily accessible via a wide flat path. A fairy-tale trail near the playground introduces children to the story of the azalea in a playful way.
